Matt Ward has been training in Shinsei since January of 2011 and currently holds the rank of Yondan (4th degree black belt) in Shinsei Hapkido under style founder Joseph Lumpkin. Sensei Ward is a board member of the Shinsei Hapkido Federation and holds the dual office of Secretary and Treasurer of the Federation. His instructor, Joseph Lumpkin, Head of System, holds the rank of 9th dan in Shinsei Hapkido as its founder. Sensei Lumpkin is a certified 7th Dan under In Sun Seo of the World Kido Federation.
